Job Description

Foster and maintain a positive image and reputation of the SAJHA.
Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating top quality employees at all levels.
Develop, or supervise the development of, and recommend to the Board a long-term strategy and vision for the SAJHA that leads to enhancement of unitholder value.
Lead the implementation of the resolutions and the policies of the Board.
Supervise day-to-day management of the SAJHA and ensure that the day-to-day business affairs of the SAJHA are appropriately managed.
Strive to achieve the SAJHA’s financial and operating goals and objectives.
Design or supervise the design and implementation of effective disclosure and internal controls.
Maintain responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting process.
Ensure that the Sajha has an effective management team below the level of the GM and has a plan for management development and succession; and serve as chief spokesperson for the Sajha (including communication with unitholders of the Sajha and regulators), subject to the direction of the Board.
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
Direct the employee assessment process.
Prepare regular reports for upper management.
Design strategy and set goals for growth.
Provide leadership and direction to the other members of the management team.
