Job Description

  • Foster and maintain a positive image and reputation of the SAJHA.
  • Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating top quality employees at all levels.
  • Develop, or supervise the development of, and recommend to the Board a long-term strategy and vision for the SAJHA that leads to enhancement of unitholder value.
  • Lead the implementation of the resolutions and the policies of the Board. 
  • Supervise day-to-day management of the SAJHA and ensure that the day-to-day business affairs of the SAJHA are appropriately managed.
  • Strive to achieve the SAJHA’s financial and operating goals and objectives. 
  • Design or supervise the design and implementation of effective disclosure and internal controls.
  • Maintain responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting process. 
  • Ensure that the Sajha has an effective management team below the level of the GM and has a plan for management development and succession; and serve as chief spokesperson for the Sajha (including communication with unitholders of the Sajha and regulators), subject to the direction of the Board.
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Direct the employee assessment process.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the other members of the management team.
