Key Responsibilities of BDO:
As a Business Development Officer (BDO), your role will involve:
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate internal college events, including welcome and farewell functions, college fests, Holi, Christmas celebrations, and other events that enhance student engagement and promote the college’s culture.
- Work with various departments to ensure smooth execution and high attendance for college events.
Student Enrollment and Engagement:
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase student enrollment through targeted initiatives, outreach programs, and events.
- Organize student visits, orientation programs, and other activities that promote the college’s offerings to prospective students.
Market Research and Strategy:
- Keep up-to-date with marketing trends and educational strategies to enhance student recruitment and brand visibility.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase student engagement and enrollment.
Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, faculty, and external partners to foster long-term business growth.
- Represent the college at external events and create opportunities for collaborations and partnerships that support the institution’s goals.
Event and Promotion Support:
- Provide event coordination and support for other marketing and promotional activities, including student recruitment drives and industry collaborations.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and drive engagement through social media and other platforms.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- BBA or a related field with knowledge of marketing trends, strategies, and practices.
- 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role (business development, event coordination, or marketing).
- Strong understanding of event planning, coordination, and execution.
- Proficiency in managing both small and large-scale events, from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive student engagement and enrollment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
