Job Description

Support the general resort operations by leading the Front Office Department to provide guest services as well as supervision, direction and leadership to the Front Office staff. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills who will respond to the owners and guest needs in a professional manner in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards set by the resort.To provide general management support throughout the hotel at all times, monitoring guest satisfaction, security, and employee’s activities. Responsible for the general administration and profitability of the Front Office Department.

  • Create a positive work environment by maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity consistent with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Command a presence of respect and humility; demonstrating the ability to motivate and readily communicate expectations and follow up
  • Coaches, and develops the Front Office staff         
  • Supervises Reception personnel to ensure optimum occupancy and average room rate for purpose of maximizing revenue.
  • Attend to Guests’ enquiries, requests, complaints and compliments
  • Ensure proper training and procedures are in place
  • Attend to crisis or emergency situations and perform service recovery
  • Record the details of events in Duty Manager Log Book and to take necessary actions
  • Ensure guests receive warm attention and personal recognition.
  • Coordinates with other operating departments, notably Housekeeping

Desired profile of the candidate

Personality:

  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality performance. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives. Reliable, tolerant, and determined and able to exercise good judgment in making decisions.
  • Well-presented and businesslike. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
  • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator   

Literacy and Numeracy:

  • Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

Experience Required:

  • Prior experience of working in Nepal at 4 or 5 star hotels or with equivalent Indian companies preferred

Min. Exp:    5 years+ with at least 2 years in senior supervisory capacity
Max. Exp:  15 years
