  • Minimum literate with adequate knowledge in the field of food and beverage.
  •  At least one year’s experience as a cook in any hotel or restaurant.
  • Excellent cooking skills and interest in food preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent communication skill: both verbal and written in Nepali and English.
  • Should be willing to be trained as needed, result oriented, self-motivated, meticulous, diligent and systematic. 
  • Training related to food and beverage shall be an advantage.
  • Should have trouble shooting capacity and take ownership of one’s responsibilities.

Job Description

  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and serving of main meals, snacks, cakes, etc. in accordance with specified menus.
  • Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served, taking into account customer satisfaction. 
  • Maintain records of stock and order items as required.
  • Ensure that adequate stocks of food are maintained (fresh, frozen and dried). 
  • Check quantity and quality of stock and notify department head of deficiencies. 
  • Oversee the packaging of the meals ensuring dispatch temperatures are checked and recorded. 
  • Washing and cleaning of floors, crockery, utensils, work surfaces and other kitchen equipment to ensure necessary hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
  • Ensure that the appropriate clothing, including head wear, is worn at all times in accordance with the guidelines.
