Role overview

We are looking to hire for the position of Financial Accountant.

This role will focus on supporting the group accounting team in performing various financial tasks across 14 different business units in OMG. You will be closely working with the team’s financial accountant & financial controller to ensure OMGA policies are followed consistently across all the different business units. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with 65+ finance team and have a long-term finance career within the group. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly balance sheet and reporting in HFM
• Preparation of quarterly balance sheet analysis
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and review of aged items
• Preparation of cash flow forecasts as required by Omnicom
• Preparation of internal management reports including board reports
• Preparation of monthly/adhoc global reporting requirements
• Quarterly SOX testing
• Prepare BAS/GST reports and perform other tax analysis
• Coordinate audit and prepare statutory reporting
• Adhoc tasks and reconciliations as required by management 

Qualification, Skills and Competencies

• Degree major in Accounting and/or Finance 
• 3 years experience in a related field
• Professional Accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CA) is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
• Intermediate Excel skills 
• SQL and power query experience is a plus 
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy imperative 
• Eager to learn and proactive
• A ‘can do’ attitude
• Able to organize & priorities 
• Team player with approachable manner 
• Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills 
• Ability to meet deadlines assigned 
• Confidence to gate keep and / or escalate as required
