Roles and responsibilities of this job

Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), the umbrella organization of over 9,500 Nepali journalists across Nepal and abroad, is seeking a dynamic individual as a Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial management of all projects and programs
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring compliance with donor requirements
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors and management
Monitor and analyze project expenditures to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Conduct financial assessments of potential partners and provide recommendations
Supervise the finance team and ensure proper financial controls are in place
Conduct internal audits and follow up on audit recommendations
Train and mentor staff on financial management and compliance
Liaise with donors, government authorities, and other stakeholders on financial matters

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 7 years

Other Specification

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
At least seven years of experience in a similar role within a reputable organization
Strong knowledge of financial management, especially in project finance
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
