Job Description

Work Purpose:
Perform wide variety of regular and recurring accounting functions, including establishing accounting records and maintaining the general accounting system.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, updates, and maintains the tracking of database for new and existing capital and non- capital assets
  • Provides information for inventory reports as well as other assets reports and records 
  • Assists with the development of written processes and procedures for identifying, tracking, transferring, reporting, and as requested, disposing of fixed assets 
  • Coordinates transfer of assets and updates the assets records with each transfer. Monthly reconcile Sun system data with Asset System data received from HQ office and all district locations. 
  • Imports all data from Sun system through voucher interface to the asset management system monthly

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Management with major finance subject or relevant subject from recognized university with at least three years’ experience finance/assets management and administration.
  • Knowledge of accounting theory and financial analysis and experience in financial reporting 
  • Good understanding of development issues 
  • Good knowledge and skills in accounting, assets management & administration
  • Good time management and organizational skills 
  • Excellent English & Nepali communication skills (oral and written) 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
  • Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent
