Other Specification

Finance / Accounting major and certified, e.g. ACCA/ CPA.
5 year in hotel accounting with at least 2 years in a similar position with an international hotel.
High degree of self-motivation and ambition.
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
A keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data
Ability to stick to time constraints

Job Description

Overall management of the accounting records and financial reports of the hotel ensuring legal and tax compliance with company, statutory and fiscal requirements.
Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy-making and financial strategizing
Maintain a system of internal controls, which will provide effective and efficient control over the hotel assets, liabilities, revenue, and costs.
Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External Audit where required.
Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures, with continuous review and development with the aim of maximizing both impact and efficiency.
Process monthly financial statements and report on these to the management as and when required.
Review and authorize all payments to suppliers in accordance with cash flow availability.
