About the Project: Plan International Nepal will be supporting Ministry of Government of Health & Population Nepal to implement PWG project funded by USAID Development Innovation Venture grants. The project is implemented in 15 districts of Nepal and aims to improve access to and utilization of community-based material and child health services for disadvantaged pregnant women through PWGs. 
Purpose: The Finance Coordinator will ensure effective internal control system, accurate accounting, and financial reporting in compliance with Plan financial guidelines. S/he will lead on capacity building of partners in accounting, regular field visit, timely payment to partners, timely advance settlement.

Terms and Location:  Fixed term employment till 31st July 2017 based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Business Studies with specialization in Finance. 
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the field of accounting & administration. Computer applications and driving skills.
  • INGO work experience preferred.
  • Wider perspective of financial and administrative management in developmental organizations.
  • Knowledge of income tax acts and VAT and USAID financial guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and maintain all necessary legal compliances.
  • Provide training and capacity development to the partners in financial management in compliance with Plan operational manual and financial policies.
  • Liaise with district public health office, finance department.
  • Prepare grants reports; assist in Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) revision, and Cash flow etc in close coordination with Project Manager and Grant analyst.
  • Support to prepare monthly/quarterly program/financial report 
  • Support the Project Manager in preparation/completion of the annual budget/Project Outline (PO) prepares/modification and cash forecast.
  • Review partner’s advance settlement documents and process for Payment request.
