WASH Monitoring Community Volunteers for Kavrepalanchowk and Dolakha District (Only local) (काभ्रेपलान्चोक र दोलखा जिल्लाको लागि खानेपानी तथा सरसफाई अनुगमन स्थानिय स्वयंसेवकको आवश्यकता)

Location : Chaurideurali Rural Municipality of Kavrepalanchowk (1), Shailung (1) and Kalinchowk (1) Rural Municipality of Dolakha district

It’s hard to believe that today 844 million people do not have clean water and 2.3 billion do not have  a decent toilet – around one in three of the world’s population. Every two minutes a child under five  dies from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. WaterAid is looking for WASH  Monitoring Community Volunteers to play a vital role in our mission to make clean water, decent  toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere by 2030. 

Working within WaterAid Nepal, the WASH Monitoring Community Volunteer will: 

  • Conduct interviews with key project target groups and individuals  
  • Lead local level data collection using mobile application 
  • Lead local community level report sharing to target groups and individual 
  • Local coordination and collaboration 

To be successful, you’ll need to: 

  • Have at least graduate in any discipline
  • Have minimum 2-year experience on participatory data collection or community group  facilitation
  • Should be from same district (preference from same municipality or adjoining municipality)
  • Have experience on mobile based data collection and have own smart mobile phone,  
  • Strong sense of discretion and ability to manage information of a confidential / sensitive  nature 
  • Fully committed to WaterAid’s vision, mission and values and a way of working that  demonstrates this, with the ability to communicate this enthusiasm to others
