Sale of Motorcycles
The International Education Division of RTI International is currently implementing the USAID-funded Nepal Early Grade Reading Program Il (EGRP II). EGRP Il will sell to the highest bidder the following motorcycles on "AS IS WHERE IS condition through public bidding.
The interested office/individuals must submit their sealed bid address to "The Chief of Party, RTI/Early Grade Reading Program II, Uttardhoka, Lazimpat, House No: 46/64, Kathmandu, Nepal" not later than 11:00 AM NST, Wednesday, May 25, 2022. The interested bidder may bid for one or more items separately.
The bid security as mentioned above must be deposited with each bid. The bid security of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned by no later than May 30, 2022. The bid security of the successful bidder will be forfeited if the purchase price is not paid in full within the specified date.
The above listed motorcycles were imported to Nepal duty free. However, the successful bidder(s) will not be responsible for paying customs duty and other taxes to convert the motorcycles to "duty paid status. Instead, RTI will pay the customs duty and other taxes liable to the Government of Nepal for the listed motorcycles after receiving consent (approval) letters from the Consular Office / Department of Customs. The successful bidder will require to travel to the Custom Department in Kathmandu and Transport Management Office in Hetauda for the transfer process. The process for vehicle ownership transfer will be completed as per the rules of the Government of Nepal.
The motorcycles will be available for inspection at the RTI - USAID Early Grade Reading Program Il office in Uttar Dhoka, Lazimpat on May 20/23/24, 2022 between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The RTI International office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without mentioning any reason whatsoever.
