About Us
Mountain Spirit (MS) is a non-profit organization established in 1996 under the laws of Nepal. It was founded by a group of like-minded individuals from various mountain communities and their allies. Guided by the vision of prosperous and resilient mountain peoples and environment, MS is committed to empowering mountain communities and fostering sustainable mountain culture, environmental stewardship, and inclusive development—especially focusing on indigenous and marginalized groups.
MS works in close partnership with local communities to improve livelihoods, protect the environment, and conserve mountain cultures through capacity building, empowerment, awareness, and sustainable development initiatives.
