Emergency Response Logistics Coordinator – 1 Position

Purpose: The position holder will support & coordinate Area Office Logistics team to achieve the procurement plan and support programme delivery.

Term and Location: 1 years fixed term employment based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required qualifications & experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Business Studies or in relevant field.
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in the area of procurement, logistic management and asset management. 
  • SAP knowledge is added advantage. 
  • INGO work experience preferred. 
  • Experience working in emergency situation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in spoken and written English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate preparation of Emergency Response annual logistics plan for the Country Office in conjunction with all stakeholders (department heads, Country Management Team). 
  • Work in close coordination with the area office team to ensure requested goods and items are timely purchased/procured. 
  • Work in close collaboration with the programme teams and response area logistics team to ensure proper distribution of goods and items in the community.
  • Oversee tender procedures & ensure correct implementation of procurement guideline.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of the vehicles assigned for emergency response.
  • Ensure periodic repair and maintenance of assets and its disposal following the operations manual.
  • Process payment documents and oversee warehouse management.
  • Support in coordination and liaising with line agencies including government office as and when required.
