The incumbent will be responsible for assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of cash based programmes in emergencies. She/He will ensure that the programme is informed by good practices in the humanitarian sector and industry standards and that objectives are met through the effective and efficient implementation of cash based programme, conditional and unconditional cash grants, vouchers programming for nutrition, agriculture, livestock, livelihood, community infra-structure, shelter and other initiatives as well as capacity building support to Plan staff and its local partners and governments.

 

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Economics, Agriculture, International Affairs, Business Management, microcredit; Social Sciences, Development Studies or a field relevant to international development assistance; At least five (5) years professional experience in planning, design and implementation of humanitarian and development programmes with at several years of relevant work experience on cash based programming. Good working knowledge of WFP, USAID, EU, AusAid, CIDA, DFID and other food resource donor guidelines.A proven ability in donor relations and networking required; Experience in working in both relief and development preferred; Extensive understanding of Social Safety Nets, Livelihoods and associated methodologies (e.g. Logical framework approach, results-based management, most significant change etc...); Understanding of basic economics i.e. elasticity of demand and supply and substitution effects

 

Term and Location: This position is initially upto 31st October, 2015 and are extendable based on organization’s needs. The position is based on Country Office, Lalitpur.
