Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Overseer to support construction, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities of a hydropower project.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage all electrical works at the site.
Sound Knowledge of the power house operations system.
Prepare and maintain hourly log sheets, temperature sheets, and operational reports.
Perform calculations for DI, AD, Outage, and other required technical data.
Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth functionality and resolve technical issues promptly.
Maintain strict compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
Hands-on experience in rewinding, repairing, testing, and maintenance of AC/DC motors, induction motors, synchronous motors, and auxiliary plant motors.
Ability to diagnose motor failures, insulation defects, bearing issues, winding faults, and overheating problems.
Experience in insulation resistance testing, surge testing, and post-rewinding performance testing.
Knowledge of motor alignment, vibration monitoring, and preventive maintenance practices
