Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Electrical System Design:

Participate in the design of electrical power systems for renewable energy projects (solar PV, hydropower), industrial facilities, and other infrastructure projects.
Develop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.
Perform load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
Select appropriate electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, cables, and protective devices.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, national grid codes).

Project Electrification:

Develop plans and specifications for project electrification, including grid interconnection, distribution systems, and grounding systems.
Assist in the design and selection of transmission lines (TL), substations, and distribution networks.
Perform calculations for voltage drop, power factor correction, and grounding system design.
Coordinate with utility companies and other stakeholders on grid interconnection requirements.

Construction Support:

Provide technical support to construction teams during the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
Review shop drawings and vendor submittals for electrical equipment.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
Ensure that electrical installations comply with design specifications and safety regulations.

Technical Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare technical reports, specifications, and calculations.
Maintain accurate records of electrical system designs and installations.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on electrical engineering activities.

Other Duties:

Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in electrical engineering and power systems.
Assist in the development of company standards and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
2+ years of experience in power systems design, project electrification, or related areas.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
Knowledge of transmission line (TL) design, distribution systems, and substation design.
Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools, AutoCAD).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with renewable energy projects is a plus.
