Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Educational Counselor at eHub International, located in Kathmandu. The Educational Counselor will be responsible for guiding and advising students on educational opportunities, developing personalized education plans, and assisting with career counseling. Day-to-day tasks also include conducting student consultations, communicating effectively with students and parents, and providing support throughout the application process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one counselling to students and parents regarding study-abroad opportunities.
  • Assess student profiles (academic background, financial status, career goals) to suggest suitable courses, universities, and countries.
  • Guide students through the entire admissions process, including application forms, document preparation, statement of purpose, and recommendation letters.
  • Assist in shortlisting universities as per student eligibility and preferences.
  • Coordinate with admissions officers, partner universities, and institutions for updated requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct information sessions, webinars, and group counselling to promote study-abroad programs.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of student interactions and applications.
  • Provide visa guidance and pre-departure briefing support in collaboration with the admissions/visa team.
  • Stay updated with global education trends, new university tie-ups, and program offerings.
  • Achieve individual counselling and conversion targets set by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
  • 1–3 year of experience as an academic/student counsellor, preferably in an education consultancy or admissions office.
  • Good communication skills (English written & verbal).
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, CRM systems preferred).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn admission processes.
