Job Description

Work Purpose: To provide technical and managerial support and operational oversight in coordination with the Children in Emergency (CiE) Manager of Work Vision International Nepal Earthquake Response’s Education in Emergency (EiE) project for WVI-NER working districts.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Education from recognized university with at least five years field experience in Education programming or the equivalent in a major I/NGOs in a rural or remote district of Nepal.
  • Good knowledge on the latest development thinking on Education programming, especially around School Safety Framework, good understanding and appreciation of education programming that takes an empowerment approach including community-led activities and advocacy, program cycle including project planning, design, monitoring, evaluation.
  • Familiar with the cluster mechanism, excellent capacity building skills, with proven experience in multiple methods, good writing skills, experience of working with consultants / advisors, including from other countries as well as with Government officials.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite, good in communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Nepali and English language – written and oral.
  • Willing to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values.
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people; Good team player; Good people management skills; Able to work under pressure; Possess high level of integrity and honesty; Self-motivated; Confident; Independent.
