Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Economics Teacher for the Higher Secondary Level. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Economics lessons, fostering critical thinking, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence while upholding the values and educational mission of the monastery.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver Economics lessons in accordance with the Higher Secondary curriculum.
Develop students’ understanding of economic concepts, principles, and real-world applications.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
Encourage active participation, critical thinking, and analytical skills among students.
Support students in examination preparation and academic improvement.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
Uphold the educational standards, values, and discipline of Bodhisattva Vihara.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Master’s Degree in Economics or a related field from a recognized institution.
Prior teaching experience at the Higher Secondary Level will be an advantage.
Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Commitment to educational excellence and student development.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration.
