Job Description

Job Title: Documentary Video Production Officer (Previously advertised as Documentation Coordinator)
Duration: Fixed Term Contract from June 2017 - May 2018. Renewable upon conditions.
Reports to: Communications Manager
Salary: Based on Teach for Nepal's policies

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop a script of an impactful activity done by Fellow's, prepare questions for interview, travel to the placement school to shoot, and also edit the videos.
  • Archive digital collaterals and resources that are produced by each Fellow during their Fellowship.
  • Archive different social media posts of Teach For Nepal's Fellow and able to generate more information by regularly communicating with Fellows.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's 's degree in any discipline ( Journalism and Mass communication preferable).
  • Experience in documentary video making with at least 4 video samples in their portfolio.
  • Ability to write script, film, conduct interviews, and edit to single handedly produce a complete video product.
  • Ability to take photograph and videos, including excellent editing skill. Have proficiency in softwares like Adobe Suite and audio editing software.
  • Proficiency in handling DSLR camera, and sound equipments.
  • Willing to travel within Nepal. This position requires frequent visit to Teach For Nepal Fellows' schools in rural Nepal.
  • Strong written communication skills in both Nepali and English. Flexible approach to working hours.

  • Patience -Able to listen others, work patiently in remote areas for long periods , and able to adjust in remote settings accomodation.
