National Association of PLWHA in Nepal (NAP+N) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) led non- governmental organization of Nepal. NAP+N has established in 2003 and now working in HIV, Tuberculosis, and Hepatitis to improve the quality of life of PLHIV through the formation and strengthening of networks and associations of PLHIV, building capacity to respond to the challenge of HIV & AIDS and develop an understanding of their right to continue to contribute to the community.

NAP+N is seeking application from qualified, smart and result-oriented Nepali citizens for the position of District Project Coordinator under The Global Fund Tuberculosis Program with the support of Save the Children.

Reports to: Team Leader 

No of position:

Duty Station: Surkhet, with frequent travel to all Municipalities of Surkhet district. 

Position type: Contract 

Salary & Benefits: As per agreement with donors 

Contract Duration: Initially up to 31st  December, 2020 and with possibility of extension depending on funding availability 

 Major Duties: 

  • Responsible to support to implement National TB Program (NTP) activities in the districts in coordination  with the stakeholders   of the program like  Medical  Colleges,  NGOs,  Private Practitioners, Professional organizations, TB and TB related co-morbidity care providers
  • To prepare district implementation plan of allocated activities linking with NTP’s district regular 
  • activities with the support of concern Health Office, TB Focal person and district team members
  • To assist District TB Focal Person in establishing inter-sectoral and inter-departmental coordination for TB control
  • Prepare detail field visit plans, activity and/or field visit reports and case study report
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, regular reports (project status & activity report, and other  reports) in coordination with relevant staff members
  • Responsible for the proper documentation and reporting of all activities with sufficient proof and  evidence documents including any other relevant issues during execution of field activities
  • Communicate with Team Leader and line manager and central team members about the progress  of the activities
  • Contribute ideas and be innovative for the creation and  continuation  of  efficient  professional  team.  
  • Participate   in   different   meetings,   trainings,   workshop   and   seminars   as   required   for   the 
  • organization at district level
  • Contribution for the development and strengthening of human resources and organizational capacity at district level
  • Contribute to preparation of program report to the Principal recipients
  • Work closely in coordination with Program Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, Team Leader, M&E Officer, and Finance Officer and make timely communication and update about the project’s events and progress
  • Communicate with other related I/NGOs and stakeholders
  • Communicate program related and administrative matters to the concerned staff
  • Motivate the volunteers involved in the program for the TB case finding and management
  • Any other job assigned as per program need

Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the team of NAP+N, Donor agencies & PLHIV led organizations
  • Represents NAP+N in different forums to carry out the objectives and goals
  • Promote NAP+N wherever possible
  • Identify and expand membership of the organization

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health or equivalent and preferable to Health Assistant background
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in HIV/AIDS and TB related projects
  • Good project management skills and able to deliver with minimal supervision
  • Good writing, analytical and documentation skills
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to work with target groups of People Living with HIV
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and calm even under pressure
  • Command in report preparation, event note and record keeping
  • Proficiency on computer usage on office Packages, email and internet
  • Fluent in English and Nepali (speaking and writing)
  • Having driving license of Motor bike
