Job Description

Contract:Time Bound Contract 
Work Purpose: Responsible for coordinating with WVI-NER departments & sectors,  liaise with local Government officials and donors, UN-bodies and other partners wherever appropriate and required; Ensure that the program systems and staff are working to achieve the project goals and objectives while maintaining the World Vision and donor accountability standards in the respective district.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Coordinate with program, finance, P&C and administration staff to ensure operational systems are in place to support field activities in Gorkha district, serving as point of contact for Nepal Earthquake Response
  • Ensure that the program systems and staff are working to achieve the project goals and objectives and that the project is maintaining World Vision and donor accountability standards
  • Ensure that day-to-day administrative support for the program is in place
  • Supervise staff that report directly to this position.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with local counterparts and partner agents (including steps to build open and working relationship with partners who represent the beneficiaries whom WV is serving.)
  • Represent World Vision in the local coordination forums and liaise with Government officials and donors, UN-bodies and other partners wherever appropriate and required.
  • Ensure safety and security of WVIN staff and relief items in coordination with P&C and security functions. 
  • Mapping of NGO partners and other partners to partner with them and achieve programme goals and outcomes
  • Good knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct
  • Excellent English & Nepali communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
  • Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent
