WHR is one of the founding members and the secretariat office for SANWED (South Asian Network of Widows Empowerment in Development).   • At least 3-5 years of community based working experience in development field in the sector of women rights and/ or human rights, humanitarian response and early recovery
  • Analytical, facilitation and counseling skill; conceptual understanding on GBV and women's rights; knowledge and skill on program planning and implementation and coordination; writing skill in Nepali and English; and can work in stressful situations and during off days, when it requires

Job Description

  • Emergency response, reconstruction and rehabilitation to support earthquake victims.
  • Coordinate and organize interaction program, orientation/training, sharing meeting and conduct education discussion sessions on various issues.
  • Document the cases, maintain the data and prepare the activity and event reports.
  • Coordinate to identify livelihood opportunities to women of earthquake survivors and build the linkages with government offices, related organizations and other relevant stakeholders
  • She/he will need to take active role in liaising, coordination, support and advocacy with the stake holders and technical agencies relevant to the sector in the district level.
  • Mobilizes community groups and networks for effective and timely implementation of various activities under the emergency programmes
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and final reports of program activities
  • Prepare periodical and annual financial reports and submit as per requirement.

Duty Station: Kathmandu and Gorkha with frequent visit to programme areas
Contract period: six months
