  • At least five years of working experience in NGOs especially the humanitarian recovery context.
  • Demonstrated experience of dealing with multiple partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders and the ability to manage project activities.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Nepali and English.

Job Description

  • Building strong coordination and linkage with the District Disaster Relief Committee (DDRC), District Development Committee (DDC) and Local Disaster Management Committees (LDMCs) for smoothly implementation of planned activities in district, VDC and community levels as plan.
  • Facilitation to the District Disaster Relief Committee, Local Disaster Management
  • Committees, Early Warning System Committee at district and VDC levels and taskforces for strengthen through capacity building activities on assessment, planning and implementation.
  • Field data and information gather as an according to M&E tools in reference of conducted events and action plans and photographs. And develop the analytical reports and submit to the authority and donor agencies on time.
  • Develop good quality project reports including documentation of good practices, case stories.
  • To lead on developing a livelihoods framework for the project and ensuring effective livelihoods strategies are being implemented.
  • Lead on training partner staff on livelihoods interventions.
  • Compile and produce draft periodic reports especially in relation to the livelihoods aspects of the project.
  • Overall project planning and follow up and regular monitoring plans.
  • Develop quality annual monitoring plan and system for livelihoods in coordination with colleagues.

Project Management:

  • Manage timely and quality implementation of project.
  • Coordination and liaison between partners, government, private sectors and other civil
  • society organizations in relation to livelihoods.
  • Field monitoring and facilitation.
  • Assist in having proper marketing channels for economic development of the beneficiaries.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Working with the Finance officer to support cash distribution to community groups and
  • ensure that they are able to use this money to improve their livelihoods options
  • Will act as the lead contact between the program and the District authorities,
  • Will maintain a good and close working relationship with the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Officer as well as District Coordinator of the project.
  • Lead on District and VDC levels facilitation of DRR/CCA activities,
  • Ensure all communications and visibility requirements of the project/donor are adhered to.

Duration: 1 year
