Autism Care Chitwan Society (ACCS) is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization established by group of dedicated parents of children with Autism. ACCS since its inception has been actively working for awareness, the rights and capacity building of child/persons with autism. ACCS has working experience with several INGOs like Abilis Foundation, Handicap International together with the Autism Care Nepal Society. Besides in the short period it has gained its credibility from the Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) and government stakeholders from the district. Besides this Autism Care Chitwan Society had worked on inclusive education project particularly with student with disability, in additional ACCS worked in emergency period (Covid response project).

Job Description

Duty Station: The position will be based in Kalika municipality and frequent field visits to  Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan

Responsibilities 

Responsibility 1: Project Implementation and technical support Activities :  

  • Coordinate with project coordinator and project officer to develop the Monthly/Daily action plan in close coordination with Community mobilizer 
  • Coordination with schools and parents to enhance the reading skills of children with disability  
  • Support to deliver consolidated inclusive education training package to school managements,  teachers and relevant stakeholders 
  • Support to conduct trainings and activities on Inclusive Education and disability  
  • Support to community mobilizers for the quality implementation of project activity  
  • Carry out project activities at community and school 
  • Build capacity of the community mobilizers 
  • Ensure Project Coordinator and Project Officer are well informed and regularly updated on the  project implementation including progress, constraints, challenges etc. 

Responsibility 2: Coordination and Communication: 

  • To ensure the implementation of the project and to fulfill the monitoring requirements  Activities: 
  • Maintain effective coordination on regular basis with the project team so that there is efficient internal communications of information between project team members, supervisor and the other partners.  
  • Promote and maintain effective communication with project coordinator, Project officer and Community mobilizers 
  • Close coordination and collaboration with related stakeholders including OPD 

Responsibility 3 : Monitoring and Reporting  Activities : 

  • Collect and maintain the database and reporting to PC 
  • Documentation of the learning, generate evidences and knowledge management of project 
  • Capture project outcomes through case stories and reports 
  • Support PC in preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports 
  • Make sure that project data is being collected from field regularly, analyze them against  project reporting indicators
  • Support Community mobilizers in preparation of case stories and other learnings capture  
  • Track and ensure that recommendations from visits and meetings are followed and conveyed 

Qualification and required skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or social studies  
  • At least 3 years of working experience in Inclusion  
  • Sound knowledge in disability inclusion 
  • Should have team mobilization, leadership and communication skills 
  • Strong reporting Skills 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines 
  • Strong coordination skills with likeminded organization and Local government
  • Proficiency in MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email and internet 
  • Should have two-wheelers driving license
