This position is mainly responsible for building the capacity on disability inclusion at project and as well as at organizational level.

Scope of Assignments

• Undertake gap analysis of an organization to identify the gaps for disability inclusion.
• Design the overall framework for disability inclusion based on the findings received from gap analysis.
• Support Project Focal Point on disability issue with documentation and report.
• Develop disability inclusive strategies and approaches to complement the currently implementing projects
• Assess the training needs of staffs both at district and central to build the capacity on disability inclusion
• Provide training and other assistance to allow lead staff at central and district offices to confidently address disability inclusion within their programmatic activities
• Develop follow-up actions after the training and work accordingly

Skills and competencies

• Minimum 3 year’s relevant work experience especially in disability issues.
• Knowledge on challenges faced by persons with disabilities in Nepal, especially at rural communities while working in livelihood sector
• Experience in evaluating the outcomes of disability inclusive program
• Enjoy the frequent field visits (60% to the field offices and 40% in Central Office, Kathmandu)
• Experience in application of the Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) to development
• Prior experience in training, facilitation and capacity building is essential.
