Working with media and communication to help reduce poverty and support people, our aim is to inform, connect and empower people around the world. Our work in Nepal is focused on innovative media and communication initiatives that are strengthening democracy, supporting media ecosystems and tackling information disorder - while supporting communities to prepare for, and adapt to, extreme climate risks.
BBC Media Action is implementing various initiatives in Nepal. As part of these project, BBC Media Action initiatives focus on creating simple, engaging and impactful digital content that shares knowledge, stories and positive impact on people’s lives. BBC Media Action Nepal Office is seeking applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the position of “Digital Producer”. The ideal candidate will work full time across projects and will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to social impact through digital media.
“The role may involve working with groups of vulnerable children and adults. For the successful candidate, mandatory training will be provided on BBC Media Action’s safeguarding policy and staff code of conduct. BBC Media Action operates a zero-tolerance policy concerning all forms of abuse and exploitation of vulnerable people.”
Reports to (title): Head of Editorial and Production
Location: Base Kathmandu with possible travel to field locations
Organisation structure: The Digital Producer will report to the Head of Editorial and Production
Job Purpose
The Digital Producer will be responsible for production and post-production related work including but not limited to recording, filming, video editing, and script writing.
