Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) is now implementing 5-year project named JNS Agriculture Promotion Project in Nepal (APPIN) funded by Japan Nepal Society (JNS), Tokyo. The project aims to increase the income of community people by encouraging the production and marketing of high-quality vegetables and fruits, thereby promoting business and industrialization of the agriculture sector. We are looking for the following position to successfully implement APPIN.

Other Specification
  • 4-6 years of work experience in the development sector
  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or related field is preferred.  At least a Bachelors’ degree is required
  • Past experience in relief  distribution preferred
  • Fluent in spoken English. People with experience working in multi-national team preferred
  • Good soft skills including ability to take municipal leaders, vendor partners, social partners in confidence
  • Sound knowledge of MS Excel and working knowledge of MS Word

Total Duration: 2 Months

Job Description

  • Take overall responsibility for the implementation of the project including team management, finance, activities, documentation, reporting and M&E
  • Coordinate with District Administrative Office, Chief District Officer, and District Disaster Management Committee to receive the required approvals for distribution
  • Coordinate with Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Ward Chairpersons, etc to identify the most vulnerable HH to conduct the distribution, selection of distribution venue, coupon distribution among the selected beneficiaries
  • Handle the logistics for the distribution including setting up of distribution camp, warehouses, trucks, tractors etc
  • Ensure daily, weekly reports and completion reports for donor reporting are accurate and well written
  • Conduct a post-distribution monitoring and evaluation
  • Ensure all documents (such as bills, receipts, approval documents, distribution receipts) are in order
  • Handle project finances
  • Ensure that the project finishes on time and on budget
  • Brief donor’s representative on a daily basis
