Position Overview

Jagdamba Steels Limited seeks a Deputy Manager - Procurement with 8+ years of manufacturing experience and ERP knowledge. The role involves managing procurement processes, negotiating terms, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, ensuring timely order execution, and maintaining accurate vendor records. The candidate will implement best practices, explore cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase made through procurement department as per direction of Supervisor
  • Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of integrity. 
  • Obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers. 
  • Prepare a purchase order mentioning all the terms and conditions. 
  • Implement the best practices in procurement and supplier management to support commercial and operational objectives. 
  • Identification of the best suppliers, review and analyze quotations. 
  • Liaise with suppliers for proper documentation. 
  • Work on purchase requisitions and indents partnering with the production and technical team. 
  • Determine ideas to reduce costs and risks. 
  • Coordinate with account department for matters on invoicing
  • Ensure timely execution of order
  • Make necessary arrangements for custom clearance. 
  • Maintain accurate procurement master files including purchase requisition, purchase order, performa invoice and other purchase related documents. 
  • Update and maintain vendor’s detailed information with classification of products and services. 
  • Understand and achieve possible benefits like SAFTA benefits on custom duties

Requirement:

  • Experience: 5 to 8 Years of Experience in Manufacturing
  • Qualification: MBA ( Mandatory)
