Roles and responsibilities of this job

Key Duties And Responsibilities :

Assist the CQAM in overall administration and supervision of construction activities
Provide quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation services as directed by the CQAM
Perform review of construction contractors’ daily, and weekly quality control and safety reports to assure that the quality control operations are adequately documented (including such activities as level of inspections, inspection results, testing procedures and results, deficiency correction, etc.) and that the work is being performed in a safe manner and provide findings for appropriate actions
Provide quality assurance inspections of construction contractors’ quality control and safety programs and provide findings for appropriate action in order to ensure compliance with their contract requirements
Oversee construction inspections to verify that materials and workmanship conform to drawings, specifications and contractual requirements and provide findings, and assure the oversight of field testing,Sampling, and laboratory testing by construction contractors on an as-needed basis
Review all submittals and requests for information and provide technical inputs when necessary Assist CQAM in issuing and closing Non-conformance Reports

Minimum Qualification & Work Experience :

Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management or other relevant degree with commensurate professional experience having at least 10 years in relevant professional experience
Extensive working experience in quality assurance and construction management of building construction and similar projects
Experiences in following areas: managing multiple teams and staff members working in remote locations
Implementing construction of vertical structures funded by USAID or other international donors
Quality control and quality assurance functions on construction Projects
The use of technology (applications), other computer software such as MS Office and Auto CAD will be an added advantage
Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali is required
