  • Masters in Management with major in Finance and accounts with minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting and finance management.

  • Good interpersonal skills and very good knowledge of English
  • Skills in coaching, training and developing staff. Experience on operating SAGA software would add advantage.

Job Description

TASKS AND RESPONSIBITIES:

  • Disseminating information about accounting procedures throughout the mission and ensuring they are observed.
  • Maintain SAGA accounting software and ensure the correctness of accounting and analytical entries.
  • Support HR function on codification of monthly payroll.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are in compliance with the financial rules of ACF and funding bodies.
  • Prepare monthly accounting bundle
  • Verifications of cash stocks and bank accounts according to ACF regulations. Physically check the cash count in the capital and on the bases during visits. Check the bank matching and reconciliation
  • Provide on timely support to all bases to ensure high quality accounting. Ensure all bases maintain current and updated version of SAGA.
  • Perform cost analysis and issuing budgetary alerts to the HoD Finance when necessary.
  • Ensure thoroughly verification of partners supporting documents and invoices that support Monthly financial report.
  • Be proactive on innovative practices in the field of financial control and budgetary management in partnerships.
  • Identify any risks of fraud and corruption in daily ACF operation in Nepal.
  • Monitor and follow up Class 4 control accounts. Review and advise any irregularities. Ensure staff loan repayment is in accordance with procedures.
  • Calculate the monthly TMP of the mission and integrate the exchange rate from HQ.
  • Manage Bank reconciliation process for capital.
  • Undertake any other tasks as requested by the HoD relating to donor compliance, administration and financial reporting/budgeting.

Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract
Contract Duration : 9 months with possibility of extension
Gross Salary per month : NPR 72,000+ excluding transport allowance and accommodation allowance (may vary upon distance and placement)
Duty Station : Kathmandu
