Job Description

Scope of Work:

Data collection is the most important part of this research project for the evaluation and scalability. A well-trained team of data collectors with different but relevant educational backgrounds will collect data through direct observation and interviews. This position requires coordination, team work and clear communication with colleagues and supervisors from the fieldwork team to data management. Each data collector will need to be aware of the different age groups, types of disability, ethnic groups and genders of the study participants, and consider the ethical and research standards for data collection.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors / Diploma in Education, Sociology, Nursing, Psychology and relevant fields.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year experience of working in the community and with children. Preference will be given to local applicants and those with experience of working with disabled people and inclusive education.

Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with supervisors
  • Knowledge of ethical and research standards in data collection
  • Experience in conducting interviews and direct assessments
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including children and people with disabilities
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Fluency in local languages and dialects (preferred)
  • Problem-solving and adaptability in fieldwork conditions

Working area: Dhading, Nuwakot, Pokhara

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enrolment of study participants
  • Conduct direct assessment and interviews
  • Recording and reporting
  • Reminder phone calls and referrals
