Data Center Control Room Engineer

The Data Center Control Room Engineer is responsible for real-time monitoring and supervision of critical data center systems, ensuring uninterrupted availability, tracking alerts, and supporting incident response as the first line of defense in 24×7 rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Incident Management

Act as the first level responder for infrastructure alarms and events, coordinating with Operations, Network, and Security teams.

• Perform 24×7 real-time monitoring of all data center infrastructure, including:

  • Power: HT/LT, UPS, DG, PDU, ATS

  • Cooling: CRAC, Chillers, PAHU

  • Network & IT: NMS

  • Systems: iBMS, EMS, DCIM, CCTV, ACS, and FAS.

• Detect, acknowledge, log, escalate, and close incidents in accordance with defined SOPs and escalation metrics.
• Act as the first level responder for infrastructure alarms and events, coordinating with Operations, Network, and Security teams.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Coordinate with service providers and OEM for incident resolution and technical support.
• Prepare and maintain shift reports, incident logs, root cause analysis, and trend analysis reports.
• Support planned maintenance activities, change management, and maintenance window coordination.

Emergency & Safety Management:

• Assist in emergency response procedures, simulations, and disaster recovery drills.
• Ensure continuous compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures during all shifts.

Customer Support:

• Provide customer support, including coordinating customer access, performing authorized remote hands activities, and supporting service requests.
