Job Title: Security Analyst Intern

Salary: 20k per month for first 3 Months

Position Overview:

As a Security Analyst Intern at our startup, you’ll be immersed in the heart of our security operations. You’ll work closely with our experienced security team, helping to safeguard our systems and data. This is an exciting opportunity to dive into hands-on security work, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn from a collaborative team in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Security Monitoring: Assist in monitoring our IT infrastructure and applications for security threats and vulnerabilities. Use a variety of tools to help detect and analyze security incidents.
• Incident Assistance: Help investigate and respond to security incidents, including identifying the root cause and implementing remediation measures.
• Vulnerability Management: Contribute to vulnerability assessments by analyzing potential weaknesses in our systems and recommending improvements.
• Data Analysis: Work with security logs and reports to identify trends, anomalies, and potential security risks. Provide insights and recommendations based on your findings. 
• Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for security procedures, incident reports, and best practices.
• Research and Learning: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies. Assist in evaluating and implementing new security solutions.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various team members to ensure that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of our development and operational processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of network security, operating systems, and security tools. Familiarity with security concepts and technologies is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex data and identify potential security issues.
• Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Adaptability: Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Eagerness to Learn: Enthusiastic about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in a startup setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training : Pursuit of Training such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar is a plus.
• Experience: Projects, or coursework related to cybersecurity are beneficial but not required.
