Position Overview:

As a Cyber Security Associate, you will assume a pivotal role in fortifying digital assets against cyber threats within our organisation. Your primary focus will entail evaluating the security posture of systems, networks, and applications through simulated real-world cyber-attacks. By proactively identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses before they are exploited by malicious entities, you will contribute significantly to bolstering our overall cybersecurity defenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive security research and penetration testing across a diverse range of products and technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within critical infrastructures.
  • Propose innovative strategies for heightening awareness and mitigating emerging threats.
  • Analyze malware to discern vulnerabilities and extract intelligence regarding its architecture and communication patterns.
  • Generate detailed assessment reports outlining identified vulnerabilities, risk categorization, potential impact assessment, and precise recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal experts and external vendors to address technical challenges.
  • Compile Incident Reports for incidents of high severity.
  • Assist in advancing and refining SOC incident response capabilities.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity technologies and evolving threats.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance incident response lifecycle, security tools, SOAR playbook, IR runbooks, and security processes for daily security operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in penetration testing or a related cybersecurity field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Cyber Security or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in penetration testing methodologies.
  • Strong command of scripting languages commonly utilized in penetration testing.
  • Passion for cybersecurity and a keen appetite for continuous learning.
  • Familiarity with diverse and emerging technology concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Capacity to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
