Job Overview

 We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to assist and manage a team of Credit Analysts and is keen to provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure that their team is successful together. The Team Leader supports the Credit Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the credit team are in line with Stellar’s purposes and provide excellent customer service all the time. The Team Leader is responsible for monitoring and developing the daily services and performance of the Credit Analysts.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the Australian mortgage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian residential home loans, credit assessment, and loan processing.
  • Familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in various Aggregator CRMs (e.g., Mercury, Infinity, Podium, Flex, MyCRM, Salestrekker, ApplyOnline).
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. 

Skills and Experience

  • Highly analytical with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with other Aggregator CRM systems is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, coach and lead a group of credit team members 
  • Monitor workflows to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Manager to design training programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions and mentor trainees.
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of trainee assessments and data entry.
  • Guide team members on challenging applications.
  • Manage department reporting requirements as needed.
  • Perform application calculations, scenario workshopping, and provide recommendations to mortgage brokers.
  • Prepare and review applications to ensure compliance with aggregator and lender policies.
  • Handle data entry, lodgment, and file management tasks, including FHOG and discharge forms. (if required)
  • File management and follow ups until settlement
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

 Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience level).
