The Country Coordinator ensures the coherence and development of the project. He/she is in constant contact with internal teams and external partners.

The country coordinator is responsible for:

Defining the strategy of the country in accordance with the global strategy of the LP4Y movement and the national context.
Finance budgeting and monitoring.
Human resources management of both International and National teams (legal aspects, training and support).
Ensuring the operational follow up and supporting the teams in their activities.
Representing the organization among stakeholders and developing the ecosystem.

As a Country Coordinator, you look over the projects taking place in your country and you work very closely with the Catalysts of your country, making sure that they are comfortable in their mission and that the strategy is clear for them. It is a very strategic position and an amazing opportunity to grow and learn from all the challenges that come everyday (finance, center management, etc.).

The minimum duration of this mission is 12 months, and will appeal to candidates who are ready to learn and passionate about intercultural cooperation. We recommend being open to a 24 month mission as we believe that this duration will allow you to acquire a more profound catalyst experience and to develop both your professional and personal aspects.

Successful candidates will be open, dynamic and enterprising, and looking for an opportunity to develop their character and skills in a multi-cultural context. They will also enjoy communicating with humor, enthusiasm and will be keen team players, committed to making a real difference in the field. Fluent English is required. Having already acquired previous professional experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

Coordination

The CC supports catalysts, coaches & supports, taking into account their projects to develop local, national or, from a more global point of view.
Coordinate and ensure the efficiency of the action plan focused on the project and consult Global Team.
S.He accompanies the catalysts in the management and development of the job/missions for which they are responsible, as well as in the learning of tools to ensure the follow-up of the professional integration of the Youth
Defining the strategy of the country in accordance with the global strategy of the LP4Y movement and the national context.
Preparation and implementation 5 years plan of LP4Y Nepal w.r.t to Nepal

Partnership Development for the development of LP4Y Nepal (Institutional)
Linked with the 3-YEAR PLAN of LP4Y Nepal Development (Ministry of Foreign Affairs Funding):

To represent LP4Y Nepal and manage partnership in embassies, LP4Y Lux, Govt. of Nepal.
To work closely with Project Leader Partnership & Fundraising Nepal to ensure the partnerships going well and established in Nepal
In charge of the International Ecosystem Development in Kathmandu Reinforce the links in the local ecosystem, create new connections and take care of the pre-existing ones
Reporting and Evaluation with support of Global team to the donors/partners

Finance & Strategy

To work closely with Finance & Operations Nepal, strategize the finance of Nepal
To develop clear process with support of Global finance in Nepal
Ensure the fiance aligns well with Social Welfare Council and Funding Partner
To work with PLPF for local fundraising strategy

HR & Management

To support HR Nepal to recruit employees (Catalyst) for Nepal
Guide or support global team for the visa process during visit in Nepal
To make sure organigram is well followed and update the tools as per the need
Organise trainings for employees in Nepal for their mission to grow

Advocacy

S.He participates or organizes events in favor of Youth inclusion, working in collaboration with other support functions with the same objective (Youth international network, job forums, youth oriented forums ...).

Qualifications and Skills:

At least 28 years old
Fluent in Nepali, well command in English (compulsory)
Work experience in the corporate with data analysis, project management partnership, people management (Leader positions)
Excellent knowledge in Google products (Sheets, Slide, Doc)
Leadership, led projects in previous experience
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clear verbal/written communication, active listening, building rapport, and empathy to manage diverse stakeholders.
Relationship Management: Building trust, networking, and fostering strong, long-term connections with internal teams and external partners.
Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Skillfully reaching fair agreements, managing expectations, and resolving disputes diplomatically.
Strategic Thinking: Seeing the big picture, identifying opportunities, and aligning partnerships with overall business objectives.
Project Management: Planning, executing, and overseeing partnership initiatives from start to finish.

Benefits

Housing (personal room with common space to share with others volunteers) and basic food on site is provided.
Final pay will be paid through check/bank transfer on the 25th of each month.
Will be taken in charge by LP4Y of your expenses if you need to travel as and when required for Project Purpose.
Social Security Fund provided
Festival Bonus
Allowance: 29k per month for first year, increases yearly

Please note, its an organisation led by the youth, for the youth and with the youth, we are here for youth and to grow ourselves
If you want to develop People Management, Organization, Communication, Strategy, Partnership , Institutional relationship

Working Schedule:

Working Time: about 40h/week
Work Days: Sunday to Thursday, based on 8 hours/day
Holidays: 2 days/month + 8 long weekends

Life Project 4 Youth is an international movement of 17 organizations in 14 countries whose mission is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of young adults (17-24 yo) from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.

LP4Y supports the decent inclusion of thousands of young people and their families through programs, 17 Training & Development Centers, 4 Little Angels Academies, 4 Green Villages, in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and the US.

Over the past 17 years LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Calauan, Jakarta, Surabaya, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, Beirut, and Cairo. Currently, we are 130 Catalysts in Asia and the Middle East working with vulnerable young adults contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009, +10,800 Youth have been accompanied to the professional world.
