BVS-N is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated applicant for the position of Counselor and Program Officer.

Employment Type: Part Time  

Salary:  Negotiable

Project Period:  3 years with a possible extension

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience as a professional counselor
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Local language knowledge is preferred and will add value to this post (preferably able to communicate in local language)
  • Aptitude to empathize with clients and help them open up
  • Good time management skills
  • Proven experience in developing effective treatment plans
  • Monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Experience in filing, report writing and documentation
  • Must be fluent in written English, Nepali, Language and local language preferred
  • Sound in using computer applications (MS Office, Excel and power-point)
  • Good interpersonal skills

Key area of Accountability:

  • Project and case follow up
  • Monitoring of the hospitals and patients
  • Monitoring of the representative of District Health Office
  • Develop semester and annual report to donor
  • Develop the final report of counselling and report to the Program Officer
  • Assessment of the quality of registration and information collection for the Burn Patients in the district
