The Cosmetic In-Charge and Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the cosmetics department, managing inventory, and ensuring timely procurement of high-quality cosmetic products. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain good relationships with suppliers. The officer will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure product availability aligns with customer demand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Department Management:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the cosmetics department.
  • Ensure the department meets sales and performance targets.
  • Provide training and support to cosmetics staff to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

2. Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

3. Procurement:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Place orders for cosmetic products and ensure timely delivery to meet business needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new supplier partnerships.

4. Product Management:

  • Stay updated on the latest cosmetic trends and emerging products. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to select products for promotions and special events.
  • Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

6. Customer Service:

  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ensure the department provides a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and services.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of cosmetic products and industry trends.
  • Experience in retail management or sales.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers and attend industry events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
