Coordinator - Programme Approaches and Resources (GESI & Governance)

Key responsibilities :  

The Coordinator – Programme Approaches and Resources (GESI & Governance) will be responsible to spearhead strategic leadership and provide technical guidance on gender equality and social inclusion and governance in and across the programme components. This responsibility is situated within the framework of the CARE-Nepal’s mission, vision and new business plan and national development priorities and takes leadership in CARE’s major program approaches.  S/he will guide the organization to adapt its strategies/approaches based on his/her strong understanding and analysis of political and social analysis. His/her analysis should facilitate the organization in developing innovative/creative strategies. S/he will develop, adapt and apply strategies, guidelines and tools to ensure that gender equity and diversity issues are appropriately analyzed, identified and addressed in programme and policies, providing strategic support to programme team in building and strengthening their capacity and required resources.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience : 

Master’s Degree in Gender studies or social science or any other relevant subject. Minimum of 7 years of working experience in applying gender analysis and in-depth knowledge of gender equality and social inclusion issues at the national level with strong knowledge on changing governance system and people management.
