Vacancy for Subjects:
1. Business Law and Ethics
Subject Brief: This module covers the basic foundations of law and its relationship with the business professions and relevance of ethics in the business and accountancy professions.
2. Understanding and Managing Data
Subject Brief: The module introduces data-based decision making and performance measurement and provides students with the practical experience of using Excel to transform data into meaningful information. It further introduces students to forecasting, target setting and project management.
3. Understanding the Business and Economic Environment
Subject Brief: The focus of this module is to equip students to understand organisations in contexts past, present and future, and enable them to analyse the macro, micro, internal and external business and economic environments in which they operate.
4. Learning through Organisations
Subject Brief: This module enables students to learn effectively and efficiently either in the workplace or in a simulated context. They also learn how to use all the resources available to reflect on their progress. This module involves planning, conducting and reflecting on their own ‘performance episodes*’ and a more general reflection on their overall professional development to date.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum mapping and alignment with academic standards according to the module specifications.
- Plan and create well-researched, original and engaging content for the relevant subjects within deadlines
- Conduct research to enhance the content. This may also include identifying relevant topics, fact-checking, and analysing sources to generate information
- Create powerpoint presentation style guides showcasing elegant and effective visual approaches to documentation including providing design team with relevant pictures and animation ideas for the relevant content, suggest other ideas for interactive and visual resources
- Create content for scenarios, simulations and case studies; provide artifacts and online resources allowing for students to simulate work from the module
- Review and conduct content quality check of relevant subjects and provide feedbacks where necessary
- Regularly communicate with coordinator, writers and designers to develop content and ensure that deadlines are met
- Find ways to enhance user experience, identify custom add-ons to the module (eg. quizzes, assessments, mock tests, essays, tutorials)
- Provide review and feedback on overall module that has been prepared by the department
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Required Skills:- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounts and Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience and demonstrated success in teaching the subject matter
- Have in-depth understanding of research processes, methodologies, research design, data analysis tools, and supervision
- Writing and editing with speed and accuracy, displaying a strong knowledge of written and oral English communication and the ability to create clear, engaging, and informative text
- Expertise in specific subject matter and/or a level of preparedness sufficient to create challenging material
- Understanding the landscape of online communications and familiar with computer systems and software, and frequently use search engines to conduct research
- Excellent communicator, highly organised and able to avoid inconsistencies
- Strong pedagogical subject matter knowledge and the ability to plan, implement and adjust instruction in alignment with the academic framework
- Collaborative, flexible, innovative, and the ability to meet frequent deadlines aided by a relentless sense of urgency and commitment to set goals
- Understanding of plagiarism as a serious offence and ability to create content by creating original materials for the scripts and slides
- Familiarity with London Met BBA curriculum programs, textbooks, materials, and instructional strategies related to the subject matter will be an advantage
