Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking for a detail oriented and experienced Consultant Pathologist to deliver medical expertise to interpret important findings, confirm diagnoses, perform hands-on tests, support experiments, maintain lab equipment in laboratory and research activity settings. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate technical reporting, compliance with statutory requirements and efficient management of daily laboratory tasks, supporting smooth business operations in the laboratory equipment and health research sector.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and report on gynecological cytology smears, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Perform Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) procedures and report findings accurately.
Conduct cervical smear tests and fluid cytology, reporting all results in accordance with established guidelines.
Assess the training needs of laboratory staff and ensure continuous professional development.
Organize and lead routine training sessions on various topics in Medical Lab Technology, including updates in the field.
Ensure the quality of examination results by reviewing laboratory procedures and maintaining high standards.
Evaluate laboratory performance regularly to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency.
Monitor the comparability of examination results with established benchmarks.
Actively participate in external and internal quality control sample evaluation programs to assess laboratory performance.
Evaluate and report on the performance of laboratory employees, including performance metrics and achievements.
Recommend high-performing employees for rewards and recognition based on their contribution to the laboratory's success.
Provide consultation to other departments or healthcare providers regarding laboratory test results and diagnostic procedures.
Collaborate with the laboratory management team to enhance laboratory operations and achieve departmental goals.
