Job Overview:

BBC Media Action Nepal is seeking applications from qualified candidates in the following specialisations for  consultancy service. Applications will be kept in the roster for two (2) years. Based on expertise, only  suitable consultants will be contacted and only if the relevant consultancy opportunity arises. 

All consultancy services will be procured and remunerated as per BBC Media Action’s polices and  procedures.

The consultant will ideally have specialisation/expertise in at least one of the following areas. 

1. Communications - Translation/Transcribing 

2. Research and Outreach 

3. Thematic Expertise  

• Gender Equality and Social Inclusion 
• Disaster Risk Reduction and Management 
• Good Governance 
• Education 
• Climate Resilience 

4. Programme Production (Radio, Television including Digital and Social Media) 

• Sound Design and Technician 
• Drama/PSA Scriptwriters 
• Drama/PSA Actors 
• Drama/PSA Producer 
• Graphics Design and Animation 
• Video Editing 
• Music Composer

Essential skills and experience 

Qualification: 

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in the relevant field is preferred. 

Experience: 

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the relevant field is required if you are looking for a support  role. 
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the relevant field is required if you are looking for an expert  role.  
• Demonstrated experience of working in development sector will be an added advantage. 

Language: 

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Nepali
