  • Bilingual English/Nepali required.

Job Description

This is a part-time consultancy with a maximum of two working days (16 hours per week) required.  The anticipated start date for this position is February 1, 2020 for a period of 12 months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Institute in coordinating with ministries, constitutional bodies, political parties, civil society and diplomatic missions as and when required. 
  • Support the Institute in maintaining relationships with partners in political parties, civil society and government as and when required. 
  • Provide guidance to program staff of the parliamentary and government communications programs in coordinating and implementing the program activities. 
  • Provide political analysis on a regular basis to the Institute’s Senior Country Director. 
  • Facilitate high-level meetings for the Senior Country Director, international resource persons and visitors from the Institute’s headquarters.
  • Ensure that the Institute’s non-political partners are non-partisan and ensure the leadership has the required information to run its programs. 
  • Maintain strict neutrality in dealing with the Institute’s program related activities. 
  • Organize high-level meetings (when necessary) for the Institute’s international visitors and provide political briefings to them.
  • Strengthen and extend the Institute’s network/contacts.
