Rural Access Programme – Phase 3 (RAP3) is a 6-year DFID funded programme operating in 14 Districts of Nepal. It aims to improve people’s incomes and resilience through employment, sustainable access to markets and improved access to economic opportunities. RAP3 is seeking an experienced person to manage health, safety and wellbeing related activities for the Mugu Humla Link Road (MHLR) Project.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Manager – Trade Partnerships to join the Regional Technical Management team reporting to the CONNECT Team Leader.Responsibilities will include:

  • Indepently developing strong linkages with regional and national markets to strengthen demand for production from CONNECT MSME partners.
  • Designing value-add strategies for products in the MSME portfolio.
  • Facilitating legal long-term relationships between trade and CONNECT MSME partners.
  • Gudiing and managing CONNECT partners for the delivery of activities.
  • Working closely with partners to analyse and develop organisational and market strategies for scale and sustainability.

Education

A very high ranking Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors degrees from leading universities, and have excellent writing, communication and presentation skills in English (and preferably Nepali).

Other requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the private sector, working in a larger corporate organisation on sales and new market development.
  • A track record of working with diverse interest groups and leading successful negotiations for relationship development.
  • Experience managing large teams and territoriies, driving growth.
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Willingness to travel and live in remote districts in Nepal
  • Being a woman is bonus!
