Job Description

The Computer Hardware and Network Assistant is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems, networks, and associated hardware and software. The possible candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software, CCTV, printer, telephony system; identifying and resolving network problems, ensuring network security, and providing technical support to users.

  • Assist in day to day computing assistance to the administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, and networks. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and identify and resolve network problems. 
  • Ensure the security of the organization's hardware and networks by implementing and maintaining network security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems. 
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data and system integrity. 
  • Maintain and update computer systems, networks, and databases. 
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updating of computer systems and networks, including upgrades and software patches. 
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in computer hardware and networking. 
  • Plan and implement new network and hardware infrastructure as required. 
  • Manage and monitor system resources to ensure optimum performance and availability. 
  • Create and maintain system documentation and user manuals. 
  • Coordinate with other IT staff, vendors and users to ensure smooth functioning of computer systems and networks. 
  • Provide training and technical support to users as needed.
