Project Working Areas: former Narayanpur, Dhansingpur, Lalbhoji and Bhajani VDC of Kailali district

Community Health Mobilizer will be based in community and will work with Health Mother Groups in respective areas. With support from Project Coordinator, Community Health Mobilizer will work with Health Mother Groups to empower them on safe motherhood, MIYCN and Hygiene behavior. Community Health Mobilizers will work on the local health structure (Health facilities, birthing centers, PHC-ORC) to strengthen on Maternal Child Health and Nutrition Services. This position will work for behavioral changes on the 1000 days mother and their families to prevent the children (0-5 years) from malnutrition.

Term & Location: Fixed term position and will be based in respective working VDCs of the project with frequent travel to project office in Tikapur

Academic Qualification and Experience

Sector Knowledge 

• Sound knowledge of maternal child health and nutrition
  
• Should have sound knowledge on local Health issues and government priorities
  
• Knowledge on empowerment approaches
  
• Knowledge on behavior change communication
  
• Knowledge on community mobilization
  

Project Management and related skills

• Possess fair understanding of development projects, project planning and implementation
  
• Willingness and ability to work with local community members and groups
  
• Good facilitation, report writing, communication and rapport building skills
  
• Good understanding on financial management system like supporting documents for voucher, advance settlement process, 
  
• Project monitoring and data collection skills
