Title: Communication Officer 

1. Position Overview: 

The Communication Officer is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, creating engaging content across various platforms, and managing the organization's public relations efforts. 

2. Key Responsibilities: 

a) Content Strategy and Creation: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals 
  • Create high-quality, engaging content for various platforms (website, social media, newsletters, etc.) 
  • Write and edit articles, blog posts, press releases, and other marketing materials 
  • Produce multimedia content, including videos, infographics, and podcasts 
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all content 
  • Travel to field and engage with stakeholders for meaningful content creation according to project activities 

b) Social Media Management: 

  • Manage and grow the organization's social media presence across relevant platforms 
  • Develop and schedule social media posts 
  • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly 
  • Engage with followers and respond to inquiries in a timely manner 

c)Influencers Engagement: 

  • Engage and build good rapport with influencers for content creation across all social media platforms 
  • Develop communication plans for positive engagement of influencers in organization’s visibility 

d) Public Relations: 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts 
  • Write and distribute press releases 
  • Coordinate media interviews and public appearances for organizational representatives 

f) Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of social media 
  • Prepare regular reports on social media metrics 
  • Provide recommendations for improving social media strategies based on data insights 

3. Qualifications: 

a) Education: 

Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field 

b) Experience: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in content creation, communications, or a related field 
  • Proven track record of developing successful communication strategies 
  • Experience with content creation and social media management 
  • c) Skills: 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas 
  • Proficiency in content management systems and social media platforms 
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills 

6. Work Environment: 

Frequent travel may be required.
