Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Communications Event Manager at ICT Foundation Nepal in Kathmandu. The Communications Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events and communication strategies. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful events and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Management:
- Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute events including conferences, workshops, seminars, and social gatherings.
- Vendor Management: Source and liaise with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure event logistics are handled efficiently.
- On-Site Management: Oversee event setup, manage on-site staff and volunteers, and ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Communication and Public Relations:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, handle media inquiries, and coordinate media coverage for events and announcements.
- Internal Communication: Ensure effective communication within the organization, including crafting internal announcements and updates.
- Brand Messaging: Maintain consistency of messaging and branding across all communication platforms and events.
- Crisis Communication: Assist in managing communication during crises or emergencies, ensuring timely and accurate information is disseminated.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of communication strategies and event plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on event outcomes and communication metrics, including analysis of media coverage and engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, and community organizations.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to events and communication promptly and professionally.

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, communications, or a similar role.
