The main purpose of this position is to promote and enhance visibility of organization and its accomplishment. The communication officer is expected to build of professional and healthy relationship with its partners and attracting new donors for long or short term partnership to create wider and sustainable impacts on needy beneficiaries of the nation through various incentive projects.

Responsibilities :
Support the strategic promotion of THIS’ and its partners all the programs and projects at the local level, national level, and existing and potential donors
Increase and enhance the visibility Organizational major accomplishment
Website maintenance and other social media outlet
Reporting and Other

Activity Related to (R1)

• Develop and implement a local information and communication strategy to promote THIS’ child Protection, Reintegration and scholarship projects and stimulate donor interest in funding them
• Prepare periodic newsletters, brochures, press releases, success stories, voices from the field, and other communication materials
• Play lead role on the dissemination of the achieved results, success stories and testimonies at international, national and local level, among partners and stakeholders
• Participate in field visits to reflect on and highlight achievements and innovative methods in implementing the programs initiatives, convey messages from the field and meet beneficiaries
• Advocacy on child Protection, human rights, and subject to projects goal
• Liaise with Projects officers and manager and other communication unit and various field teams
   

Activity Related to (R2)

• Draft and prepare a range of media kits materials and products in compliance with government law and regulation, THIS and its donors child protection policy, and donors’ communication policies
• Ensure logos and symbols of Organization and donors are well presented for visibility purposes
• Identify, develop and implement a pertinent action plan for welfare of its beneficiary and wider impact of the projects and spread of message
   

Activity Related to (R3)

• Support the development of the website content, design and interaction
• Support the establishment of our client’s HLP accounts in social media, when possible
• Update the content of online pages related to Projects activity, accomplishment and desire outcomes
• Update THIS’ official face book page, and other social media pages timely when necessary. Coordinate with projects officers, manager and program team for news, content and material needed for updating social media page

Activity Related to (R4)

• Prepare summarized report on the activity under taken
• Attend on formal informal meetings and
• Periodic report both on verbal and written
• Assist senior managers when necessary

Working Days and Hours: 
The post holder is required to work for 23 hours per week. There are times when THIS works beyond the hours of a normal work day and may ask you to work overtime if necessary. Please refer to the Policies and Procedures Manual for further clarification.

Salary’ scale:D-1 (Part time)
Probationary period:2 months
Period of Service: Till end of December, 2015
Status: THIS Employed staff – Funded by Go campaign (50%)
